1. Intern Study I-IV are taken at the end of the course as a block placement, usually in semester 6. All internship placements must be approved by the Internship Co-ordinator.
2. Units must be taken in the order that they are offered and at the discretion of the School Board.
3. Students enrolled for the Bachelor of Business in Convention and Event Management, who elect to exit after Year 1 will not qualify for the award of Diploma.
4. For the ASTHM award of Diploma of Event Management, students must successfully complete each of the eight units shown with the Unit Code prefix of “DIP”. This will require that DIP0007 & DIP0008 units in Second and Third Year exchange with the COM00207 & ACC10249 First Year Units.

Teaching Methods - Internal students, as a guide, may be expected to attend a two-hour lecture and one-hour tutorial per week in all units.

Learning Resources - Students have access to a dedicated unit website on MySCU. They are required to purchase textbooks. Students also have access to the largest Tourism Library Collection in Australia. There are also a number of databases available on the Library website that offer students access to electronic full-text journal literature and bibliographic citations of literature relevant to tourism and hospitality.

Assessment Methods
Students are assessed in each unit on the basis of written and/or oral assignments. These may be researched essays and reports, presentations, case studies or problem solutions. Students may also be asked to participate in group work as well as individual assignments. The usual weighting between assignments and examinations is about 50 per cent to each.
